Oh you know, another Polyvore collage, just because.

(a.k.a I have nothing worthy to post right now except for collages I've made using Polyvore a.k.a I lack the motivation to blog a.k.a let's just accept the fact that this blog is dying and I'll just post whenever I feel like posting. For now)

GIRLS IN PINK SERIES: PART I

Hello!

Recently I've (randomly) started a new personal project -- Girls in Pink Series. Basically, it's a series of portraits of girls and fashion illustrations with splashes of pink hues. And the medium that I'm using for the whole series would be pencil and watercolour ink -- in PINK! Heheh. So here are two of the pieces from this series.

Girls in Pink Series ; One

I would be using liquid watercolour / concentrated watercolour ink from Ecoline, in Light Rose for the illustrations in this series. I've absolutely completely fallen in love with this Ecoline watercolour ink since the moment I first used it -- which was only about a couple of days ago. The outcome of the ink is very vibrant, especially on watercolour paper and it is much much more vibrant than your usual watercolour. It spreads nicely with water and is very easy to work with.

These two illustrations are my first attempt of using the watercolour ink from Ecoline. Look at how concentrated and vibrant it is!

I'm planning on saving up some money to splurge on more colours from this brand -- yes it's a bit pricey for me. I bought it in a local art shop that I usually go to, and it sells these Ecoline inks for RM20++ per bottle (or probably more). You can probably buy them at a much cheaper price from Amazon or any other online shops or sites.

That's all for now. See you later on my next post!

DREAMS DON'T WORK UNLESS YOU DO

Dreams don't work unless you do

Just another collage / fashion illustration I did using Polyvore. "Dreams don't work unless you do" -- a magical form of words that I would chant to myself, as  a reminder to not give up whenever I feel like quitting my dreams, or when the occasional procrastination strikes. Keep working towards your dreams, warrirors!

How-to-Style : Kimono Cardigan

Hello!

A kimono cardigan should be a staple item in one's wardrobe, as it is versatile (and it screams comfort as well). You can dress it up, you can dress it down. You can wear it as a work attire or dress it down a little for a casual lunch with your girl friends. You can even kick it up a notch for a formal event by adding a pair of killer stilettos, some fancy jewelry and the right make up.

Here are my takes on four kimono cardigans and how to style them up.

Thanks for reading! :)

Merdeka Tribute

Merdeka Tribute

My attempt of a Merdeka-day tribute; in my favourite shades of blue, red and gold.

Happy 57th Merdeka Day everyone! I'm so grateful and thankful to Him for everything that we have and what we have achieved today. Can't be thankful enough.

Imaginary Outfit 1 : 5 a.m Chat

Fantasy Outfit 1

Hello.

It's 5.30 in the morning, and I am actually in the middle of proofreading a thesis (not mine) -- not that I'm any good at it, but I'm trying my best. And right now I'm taking a little break; drank some coffee, browsing through a blog; and BAM, the next thing you know, I ended up writing a post.

And I might have also created a Polyvore collage. I think sometimes, frequent breaks and a little procrastination here and there are what we need to recharge our batteries.

By the way, in one of my recent previous posts, I might have mentioned that I wanted to become active in blogging. And to be honest, I obviously haven't been actively blogging at all. It has been about a month since that particular post. In my defense, I haven't quite figured out what I want to blog about. And I have been asking myself questions pertaining to this matter. What type of blog do I want this to be? What do I blog about? What is my blogging style? What is this blog's style going to be like? Do I want it to be casual? Or formal? Or what?

And the most dreadful question of all is : "Would anyone even read my blog?"

But then, as I'm writing this, I remembered a powerful quote by Marie Forleo (she's a fantastic life and business coach. You can check out her Youtube channel here. I am so thankful to my friend Mary for introducing me to her channel).

She said "the key to success is to start BEFORE you're ready".

Yes, starting something before you're actually ready can be really nerve-wrecking, terrifying, stressful. However, if you don't take a leap of faith; that very leap that you so desperately need; how are you going to get to the other side and find out what's waiting for you there? Life is too short for not trying. And life is indeed too short for regrets.

Just do it.

Dinner Dress Idea for Munie

Dinner Idea for Munie 1

A close friend of mine, Munie requested me to do a few mood boards to inspire her on what to wear for her university's annual grand dinner event. And this was one of the mood boards / collages that I came up with. Nudes, golds & navy blue. Ah, my favourite colour combo!

Experiment X

So after class today, I was playing around and experimenting again, using the same drawing that I posted in my previous post this morning. Yeah, you can tell that I was bored huh? -__- You can see the original black and white drawing here (the 4th drawing).

Experiment II

Whoah this is madness!

I did a little experiment on colouring/rendering my old doodle with Photoshop last night. Well, I always use Photoshop to colour/render my Interior Design Studio's drawings, so why not my doodles right? And yeah it was fun fun fun! I want to do this more often, hik.

Well, of course I'm not the first person to do this. A lot of artist/designers colour and render their illustrations with Photoshop, that's for sure. But this is just my first attempt, that's all it's all about.

I have actually posted this doodle on an old post, it's a black and white version. Take a look HERE (the 4th image).

p/s : I reaaaally need to scan my recent drawings and illustrations soon. It has been a long overdue, hasn't it?

Celine Shoes

Just look at how awesome they are! They are like a combination of clogs, wedges and platforms. These darlings are absolutely perfect for every occasion and event; no matter what your style is. And I'm sure they are quite comfortable too. (Well, they may be a bit difficult to walk in at first though)

Alexa Chung for Madewell

The lovely Alexa Chung had collaborated with Madewell and the collection was launched on Fall 2010. I know the collection has already been launched for quite some now, but I just can't resist posting about it here.

She had designed some pieces that are very similar to her laidback, Brit style that is both sweet and tomboyish. Her designs are all so lovely. Plus, the sketches on those tees in this collection were all drawn by her! How adorable is that?

(Disclaimer : This photos do not belong to me, they belong to Madewell)

2. Pair a plain grey maxi dress with a bright-coloured jacket.
3. Wear a soft floral maxi dress with a pair of sneakers.
4. Pair a feminine maxi dress with tough assembles, i.e combat boots and tough jeans jacket.

Fashion Doodles?

These are some of my fashion illustrations. Well, I think they're actually classified as doodles. Fashion doodles maybe?
